At the 20th General Meeting of The Australian-New Zealand Federation of Sisters of St Joseph held in Tasmania in April, Sr Jillian Dance ssj, Leader of the Tasmanian Congregation, was elected as the new Federation President. She was welcomed by the outgoing President, Sr Carmel Moore rsj, of the Lochinvar Congregation, and in turn, expressed appreciation of Sr Carmel’s work as President and thanked her on behalf of all the Sisters. Sr Marlene Dunn rsj, from the New Zealand Congregation was re-elected Vice President and Sr Maureen Salmon rsj, from the Lochinvar Congregation, re-elected Treasurer. As the activities of the Federation continue to accelerate, the three-member Executive, looks forward to interesting developments during their term of office.
