Visioning Team in Full Swing

The Josephite Visioning Team, appointed at the Hobart Meeting of Josephite Leaders in April, reported much activity to a meeting held in Sydney on 21st June.  Team Members have worked in three sub-groups.

The group researching the Constitutions and Shared Vision of the  Central (Brown) and Federation (Black) Josephite groups, has produced an inspirational and spiritually rich document that sets out the two Constitutions in parallel and offers much incentive for prayer, reflection and discussion>

A second group is working on  Josephite Conferences in Sydney for  May 2008. Facilitator for these Conferences will be Sr Carol Zinn csj, (pictured left), who heads the Josephite NGO at the United Nations.  These conferences will give Josephites an opportunity to further clarify their charism and vision at this time of moving toward greater unity and reconciliation.  They will also give Sisters across all the Josephite Congregations the experience of getting to know and work with Josephites from other Congregations and to strengthen the bonds among them.

A further group is focused on Shared Mission.  This group is beginning by researching possibilities for ongoing, shared Josephite commitment to two specific areas among the many needs of disadvantaged people in Australia to-day.

The Josephite Visioning Team plans to meet again on 27th July
